October 1st-5th

This week was all about the letter Cc, how to write it, recognize it, words that begin with C and of course its sound.  C is for Cookie! We also learned about Ovals all week long.  What a fun week it was at Preschool.
So here are some things we did worth mentioning....

* Made a letter C poster with all things "C".
* Made a letter C for Cheetah page for our year end alphabet book.
* We made paper/felt cookies for our art project on Friday.  We practiced our cutting, glueing and coloring.
* We read " If You Give a Mouse a Cookie", "Who Took the Cookies from the Cookie Jar?", and "Camilla the Cupcake Fairy".
* We sang our letter C song and learned lots of things that start with letter C.  Carrots, cows, cookies, cupcakes, crayons, candles, candy corn, clocks, cats, circles, cucumbers, and so much more.
* We checked out starfall.com again and learned about the letter C.
* We observed our bananas from last week, the banana in the refrigerator turned brown the fastest.  But, it has the best fruit inside that isn't soft and mushy.
* We sang songs about, traced, found, and danced all about OVALS.  (Tune: Frere a Jaque) This is an oval, this is an oval.  How can you tell, How can you tell?  It looks like an egg, almost like a circle...but its an oval.  Its an Oval.
*We made cookies and then ate the cookies for our snack.  They were delicious.
*We had yummy snacks.  Monday-Carrots, cucumbers, crackers, cheese and chocolate milk- Thanks Miss P.  Wednesday- Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies with frosting and Chocolate Milk-Thanks Miss E.  On Friday-Chocolate Chip Cookies and Milk.  MMMMMMM!
*We played with playdough, learned a new October song, used our scissors for the first time and it was a STUPENDOUS Week!

Next Week, has been all mixed up because of my errors on the October calendar.  However, Monday is Columbus Day and the rest of the week is all about Fire Safety!  See you Then!
                                                     Thanks a bunch, Miss Heidi
