Letter P Week
-All about the letter P, its sound, uppercase and lowercase recognition.
-The number 7
-And Penguins
-We were a little restless on Monday, so we decided to go for a walk since it was such a nice day. We walked around the block and looked for signs of Spring. We saw flowers poking through the dirt, buds growing on trees and grass turning green.
-We made our letter P poster with all things letter "P"-pig, penguins, piano, present, pencil, pumpkin, and pie.
-We gave our friend Miss P a cheer since her name starts with the letter P.
-These are the very cute paper cup Penguins we made on Friday. I wish we would of glued the feet on differently because the feet kept falling off-and penguins need their feet.
-We checked out letter "P" on starfall.com
Then we played a penguins letter game-where we had to match the lowercase letters to the uppercase letters.
-On Wednesday we made our handprint alphabet page, its a Penguin if you couldn't guess.
-We also learned about the number 6 everyday, we learned how to recognize it, write it and count it.
-On Friday, we made our very own Pepperoni Pizzas (Double P). It was a very delicious snack. Maybe I could type very one more time. VERY, very, VeRy, delicious. We had some fun letter P snacks this week like-peaches and pears. Then some bunny crackers, triscuits and mini oranges. Yum!
-We sang penguin songs like:
Tune: I'm a little teapot
I'm a little penguin short and fat.
I waddle like this and I waddle like that.
I am always dressed in black and white.
Don't you think I'm quite a sight.
It was a Penguinriffic week and next week is all about the letter "Q", St. Patricks Day Fun and the number 7. So catch you all Monday.
Thank you,
Miss Heidi
